ELSEWHERE - Exploring narratives of forced displacements and deportations of the '40s

July 25th - August 3rd, 2018, Budapest, Hungary

Topic:

This project aims to preserve the memory of the victims of totalitarian regimes, to raise awareness  about the forced dislocations and deportations happened during or after WWII. Also to discuss about the mechanisms of exclusion and persecution, to strengthen the engagement and participation of young European citizens in the construction of values, culture, history and dialogue.  
The youth exchange  will be 10-day long involving in total 26 participants from Germany, Poland, Romania and Hungary. 
The last two days the participants will join an international conference and cultural event to remember and explore the still-existing quetions of the Roma Holocaust  happening in Central and Eastern Europe during the 1940s.  
 

Participant profile:

Age Limit: 17-25 years old
Number of participants: 5 participants + 1 group leader / country

Our aim is to involve 24 young people aged between 17-25, who are interested in the topic of the project and who can communicate in English at least on a basic level.

Let it be 2. - Shared Wisdom -  Training Course 

03-13 September 2018 Hungary 

Application deadline: 01. 08. 2018.

Topic: 

The project aims at increasing the quality of youth work through the development of capabilities of active trainers and facilitators active on the youth field. Development of human capital allow the participants to implement higher quality youth projects, to tackle the objective of their projects in a more efficient way, contributing to the general aims of ERASMUS+ programme.  
 
The project also focuses on introducing and providing practice of the method: peer group supervision. This method serve to support the daily work of the professionals, to arm them with a tool that they can use to process tough cases, situations, relationships at work, hence helping them to prevent burn-out.  
 
A horizontal aim of the project is to raise the awareness of professionals active in the nonformal education field that their daily work has to be supported continuously (or at least from time to time) with self-reflection and self-knowledge activities to help processing experiences gathered as youth workers. 

Participan profile:

We aim to involve 23 experts (Trainer, facilitator, mentor, coach) on the field of youth work from 10 countries (BG, CZ, HU, PL , RO, NL, DE, IT, GR, MK), with the following profile:   

Interested in: 

  • redefining their own professional profiles; 
  • acquiring new skills needed for dealing with disadvantaged youngsters; 
  • carifying their own aims; contributing in  improving projects 
  • Active and experienced on the youth field
  • Closely related to partner organizations as regular or contract-based educators 
  • Able to communicate in English. The programme is based on discussions, a good command of English is a must to participate. 

Condition for selection includes participation in a skype interview during preparation phase of the project, aimed at mapping motivations of applicants and participation at a preparatory meeting organized by partner organizations. 
Number of participants:  2 participants /country.  Age limit for participants: aged between 25-40. 

Costs:

All the costs (accomodation, food, training tools) are covered by Erasmus+ Programme.*

Thinking Outside The Box - Youth Exchange

17-24 September 2018, Bánk, Hungary

Application deadline: 25. 08. 2018.

Topic:

The Youth Exchange 'Thinking out of the box' is is aimed to bring 39 young people together from 6 
countries in an intercultural environment, where they can develop their basic skills on tolerance, 
acceptance of diversity and others, to learn how to fight against stereotypes and prejudices.   
With these topics we would like to improve the sensibility of the youngsters and show them a way how 
they can be more open-minded in their life toward others. 
The activities are going to be prepared by the youngsters involved in the project and at the end of the 
program they will create a video with their messages and hold a workshop in a local Afternoon School. 

Participant profile:

The participants aged between 15-21, are coming  from:  
Italy, Romania, Portugal,  Greece, France and Hungary.  

Each group involve 5 participants + 1 group leader. There will be 36 young people in total. 
Out of the 6 youngsters, we aim to involve 2 participants/country who has fewer opportunities and  who 
are coming from a disadvantaged environment.
